Missouri House 49 Candidates disclose financial reports

Candidates running for the Missouri House 49th District, which covers much of Callaway County, were required to submit campaign finance records to disclose contributions received and expenditures spent.

Disclosure reports were due to the Missouri Ethics Commission July 15 and are also due Monday in a separate report, eight days prior to the Aug. 2 primary election.

Republican candidate Jim Schulte has received $26,335 total throughout the election. He has received donations from two different committees. The Missouri Alliance Political Action Committee in Gladstone donated $600. A Better Missouri in Jefferson City donated $500.

Other noteworthy contributions received include: Michael Beck, $1,000; D. Gene McKeen, $1,000; David Schulte, $700; Dick Davis, $600; and Holts Summit Mayor Landon Oxley, $250. Hank Stratman contributed $1,300 in in-kind donations, which is any contribution that is non-monetary.

Schulte has spent a total of $6,632.73 this election cycle; $3,147.38 of this total was spent on campaign signs at AD&B in Moberly.

At the end of this reporting period, Schulte had $19,502.27 on hand.

Republican candidate Shannon Graziano has received $1,644.72 total throughout the election. He has spent a total of $475.11 this cycle; $354.11 of this total was spent on a banner from Bannerbuzz in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

At the end of this reporting period, Schulte had $237.20 on hand.

Steve Myers, who is also running as a Republican, has received $24,206.51 from contributions.

Noteworthy donations for Myers include $1,000 from Clinton Hornbuckle and $600 from Webb Langworthy.

Myers has spent a total of $13,121.67 this election cycle. He spent $5,336 on signs from B-Line Engraving in Fulton.

Myers had $11,084.84 on hand at the end of this reporting period.

Sole Democrat candidate Jessica Slisz received $1,393 from contributions. She received $200 in in-kind contributions from the House Democratic Campaign Committee.

Slisz spent $957.77 this cycle.

At the end of the reporting period, Slisz had $147.23 on hand.
