Three Jefferson City men have been charged in connection with a robbery that occurred Thursday night in the Capital City.

Zyier Houston-Bey, 20, Jaquan Brooks, 18, and Tyrique Washington, 18, are each charged with accessory to first-degree robbery, armed criminal action and resisting arrest.

Jefferson City Police Department probable cause statements state the robbery occurred in the area of Broadway Street and Tanner Way.

The 18-year-old victim told authorities he had gone into the JC Mart on Dunklin Street and the three men followed him in. They then left the store after several minutes and walked toward Broadway. The victim left after the three suspects and proceeded in the same direction toward Broadway.

The suspects allegedly approached the victim and yelled at him to stop. The victim claimed he saw Houston-Bey holding a silver pistol and pointing it at him. Houston-Bey allegedly told the victim to empty his pockets while Brooks and Washington stood on either side of him so he couldn't get away.

The victim told authorities the suspects took his cellphone and wallet, which had less than $10 and an ID card.

Investigators said the victim identified all three suspects from a photo lineup he was shown.

Officers were reportedly familiar with Houston-Bey due to a recent weapons offense in this same area earlier in December.

On New Year's Eve night, the three were spotted in the same area where the robbery occurred. When an officer tried to contact them, they fled on foot, jumping over fences and fleeing in different directions, but they were eventually captured.
