No injuries in fire on East McCarty Street

No one was hurt in a structure fire Monday afternoon in Jefferson City.

A Jefferson City Fire Department news release showed firefighters were dispatched at 2:51 p.m. to a fire at the Ron Irvin Cabinet Shop in the 2400 block of East McCarty Street.

The first arriving crew reported smoke coming from an exterior dust collector toward the rear of the building. Fire crews brought the fire under control and stayed on the scene until approximately 5 p.m.

The cause of the fire was listed as accidental.
