Contractors working for the Missouri Department of Transportation will begin making improvements next week to Route A, between U.S. 63 and Main Street in Hartsburg.
The work begins Monday and consists of a 1-inch asphalt overlay to the roadway, which MoDOT officials said will provide a smoother driving surface. Crews will be working 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
This work is weather permitting and could be delayed.
