Capital Mall is hosting a "Decorate a Christmas Tree" event to raise money for Toys for Tots this year.
Businesses and organizations are encouraged to decorate a tree, place their names on it, and donate it to the event.

Decorating will occur Nov. 1-8 in Capital Mall, Space 204. All teams are to decorate in the space.
Trees are to be auctioned off 11 a.m. Dec. 4.
Proceeds will purchase new toys for needy children.
Organizers said they expect "another pretty tough year" for needy area children. Each year, Toys for Tots provides Christmas to at least 1,200 children in Cole County.
