Boys Soccer: Capital City downs Battle

COLUMBIA - The Capital City Cavaliers improved to 2-0 in Central Missouri Activities Conference action with a 4-1 victory Thursday against the Battle Spartans.

Battle took the lead with a goal midway through the first half. Capital City tied it with a goal by Landon Carney, then Clayton Hamler gave the Cavaliers the lead with a goal late in the first half. Paul Chinn had an assist on Hamler's score.

Mo Yanis made it 3-1 with a goal off an assist by Nate Wilbanks before Eric Angel capped the scoring with a goal assisted by Wilbanks with 10 minutes to play.

Capital City (3-0) will play today at Hickman.
