Natural Grocers is ready to open its doors this week in Jefferson City.
The new grocery store plans to open Wednesday at 3535 Missouri Blvd. in the Wildwood Crossings Shopping Center.
Natural Grocers, a chain based in Colorado, offers organic and natural products, as well as nutrition and health-focused services. The new store also will offer a nutritional health coach on staff who will provide services free to the community. A news release also noted a partnership with the Salvation Army Center of Hope.
For the opening Wednesday, the first 100 customers will receive a cooler bag filled with ingredients for Natural Grocers brand gluten-free pancake and waffle mix, as well as a kitchen set, which will include an oven mitt and utensils, according to the release.
The store will open with modified hours due to COVID-19-related policies at Natural Grocers. Hours will be 8 a.m.-8:05 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 9 a.m.-7:35 p.m. Sundays. The store also will offer two weekly shopping hours exclusively for seniors ages 60 and older, pregnant women and those with underlying medical conditions; these hours will be from 9-10 a.m. Sundays and 8-9 a.m. Wednesdays.
