College Baseball: Strobel hits fifth homer for Central Missouri

WARRENSBURG - Central Missouri redshirt sophomore catcher Gaven Strobel hit a two-run home run last Saturday in the Mules' 12-2 win against Northwest Missouri.

Strobel (Jefferson City High School) hit his fifth home run of the season in the bottom of the seventh, giving Central Missouri a walk-off win in run-rule fashion. He finished the game 2-for-3, adding a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning.

In 12 games this season, Strobel is batting .314 (11-for-35) with 13 RBI and 10 runs scored.

Central Missouri (29-5), ranked No. 3 in Division II by the National College Baseball Writers Association, plays Saturday at Northeastern State.
