Boys Basketball: Calvary Lutheran 63, New Bloomfield 33

NEW BLOOMFIELD - The Calvary Lutheran Lions shut out New Bloomfield in the second quarter on their way to a 63-33 win Tuesday.

The Lions were ahead 16-8 at the end of the first quarter and expanded the advantage to 32-8 by halftime. Calvary's lead was 48-21 entering the fourth quarter.

Leading the scoring for the Lions was Morgan Allen, who finished with 18 points and seven rebounds. Kwesi Hall scored 12 points and dished out four assists, while Kyle Hagemeyer added 11 points and four assists.

Calvary (1-0) will play at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Eugene Tournament. The fourth-seeded Lions will face No. 5 seed Stover.
