Truck backs into Callaway County pedestrian

A pedestrian was hurt Tuesday night when a truck struck him and another vehicle in a Callaway County parking lot.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Michael J. Gregg, 20, of St. Peters, was standing near a parked pickup truck in the lot located at 3259 County Road 211 in Kingdom City when a Freightliner conventional truck backed into him and the unoccupied pickup.

Gregg was transported by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of moderate injuries following the 8:47 p.m. accident, the patrol said. Bradley D. Olson, 54, of Ames, Iowa, who was driving the Freightliner, was uninjured.
