RUSSELLVILLE, Mo. - Four players scored in double figures for the Eugene Lady Eagles, who opened the Russellville Tournament with a 78-48 first-round win Tuesday against the Vienna Lady Eagles.
Alexis Angerer finished with a game-high 16 points for Eugene, while Kaydi Alderman added 14 points, Jodi Polly had 13 and Taylor Luebbering finished with 11.
Eugene had a 19-10 lead after one quarter, extended it to 39-20 by halftime and was ahead 63-36 through three quarters.
Jena Schwartze and Kadence George scored 13 and 12 points, respectively, to lead Vienna.
Eugene (9-6) will play Russellville in the winner's bracket semifinals at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
Vienna (6-12) is scheduled to play Calvary Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the loser's bracket semifinals.
