The party is ending at the Capital Mall in November when Party City closes its doors.

On Nov. 30, the store will close just short of three years after it opened in December 2016.

In its second quarter financial results, released Aug. 8, the company announced 55 stores across the country would be closing as part of a store optimization program.

Back in May, the company's first quarter financial results first mentioned the closure of 45 stores out of approximately 870 locations. The report stated the company typically closes 10-15 stores per year.

"This year, after careful consideration and evaluation of our store fleet, we've made the decision to close more stores than usual in order to help optimize our market level performance, focus on the most profitable locations and improve the overall health of our store portfolio," Chief Executive Officer James Harrison said in the release.

Party City is holding a closing sale, with all merchandise on sale, some up to 70 percent off.
