Prep Baseball: Russellville 11, Calvary Lutheran 0

The Russellville Indians hit a pair of home runs Tuesday in an 11-0 win in five innings against the Calvary Lutheran Lions.

Both home runs came in the top of the third inning. Mason Stewart hit a two-run home run to right field, then three batters later, Braden Hickey belted a two-run homer to left field, extending the Indians' lead to 6-0.

Russellville added five runs in the fourth to win by run rule.

Nick Thompson went 3-for-4, finishing a home run shy of the cycle, and scored three runs. Hickey and Stewart each added a single to finish with multi-hit games.

Logan Cinotto was the winning pitcher, striking out six batters in three innings. Landon Plochberger and Trenton Morrow each added a strikeout in one inning of relief.

Sam Hoff and Jared Braun each singled for Calvary Lutheran's only hits.

Russellville (8-2) plays Thursday at Eugene. Calvary Lutheran (3-6) plays Saturday in the CCAA tournament.
