Mid-Missouri road work for Sept. 17-21

Cole County

U.S. 54 between Broadway Street and Stadium Boulevard - Roadway resurfacing, pavement repair, guardrail replacement and bridge repair continue. Surface sealing, lighting and pavement marking will take place in the eastbound and westbound lanes between Stadium Boulevard and the Missouri River bridge during overnight hours. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be closed, with occasional closures of entrance and exit ramps. The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

Boone County

Route BB over I-70 - Bridge rehabilitation and ramp repairs continue. The bridge is closed. Route BB traffic is being detoured by using Missouri 179 and routes J and O. Entrance and exit ramps will remain open through much of the project, but may close for resurfacing near the end of the project. The project is scheduled for completion in October.

U.S. 63 between Missouri 22 and Missouri 124 - Pavement milling in the southbound lanes will take place Monday through Thursday. One southbound lane will be open.

Callaway County

Route J between U.S. 54 and Route F - Pavement patching will take place Wednesday through Sept. 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

Route WW between Route J and the Boone County line - Pavement patching will take place Tuesday and Wednesday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

Business 54 between U.S. 54 East and U.S. 54 West - Sidewalk and ADA improvements continue. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic. The project is scheduled for completion in December.

Cooper County

Missouri 87 over I-70 - Bridge replacement is underway. The bridge is closed, but all exit and entrance ramps connecting to I-70 remain open. Signed detours are in place. Steven Kole Court is closed to traffic as part of work south of I-70. Motorists will be detoured over a temporary bypass to Klinton Drive. Nancy Potter Road will be closed from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday for culvert pipe replacement. The eastbound I-70 entrance and exit ramps and the south portion of Missouri 87 are scheduled to be closed for approximately two weeks, beginning the night of Sept. 23. Occasional overnight lane closures and traffic delays are possible on I-70 for construction of the new bridge. Grading operations, base rock installation, resurfacing of Missouri 87 and the westbound entrance and exit ramps and culvert extension work will continue this week. The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

Maries County

Route C over Peavine Creek, west of County Road 417 - Bridge maintenance will take place Monday through Thursday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

Route T between Missouri 42 and Route AA - Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place Monday through Sept. 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

Miller County

U.S. 54 over Little Gravois Creek, west of Route V - Bridge deck rehabilitation in the westbound lanes is underway. One westbound lane will be open.

Missouri 17 between Missouri 52 and Route K - Pavement repair will take place Monday through Sept. 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

Route H between Route 17 and Marys Home Road - Edge rut repair will take place Monday through Thursday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

Route H between Missouri 17 and Marys Home Road - Drainage repair will take place Sept. 24-27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

Moniteau County

Missouri 87 between Derby Lake Road and Gamble Road - Culvert pipe replacement will take place Tuesday and Wednesday. The road will be closed from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. each day.

Missouri 87 between Route C and McCarty Road - Culvert pipe replacement will take place Thursday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

Morgan County

Missouri 5 over Gravois Creek, north of Route J - Bridge maintenance will take place Monday through Sept. 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

Osage County

Route A between U.S. 50 and Route C - Chip sealing the roadway surface to extend pavement life is scheduled to begin this week. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

Route DD between Route U and County Road 610 - Pavement repair will take place Sept. 24-27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.
