I was a Salvation Army bell ringer in December of ‘89. I did it for the pay I got. One night the Central Bank time and temp tower said “15 below zero.” The mornings were colder. Make a point of giving to kettles manned by people who look like they need a paycheck. Gotta love those financially secure volunteers, so give ‘em a smile.
