3 charged in killing of teen accomplice in robbery attempt

UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. (AP) - Three people are charged with second-degree murder in the death of a 16-year-old robbery accomplice who was killed by a suburban St. Louis homeowner.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that 18-year-old Gregory Bell, of St. Louis, 18-year-old Davion Rainey, of St. Louis, and 25-year-old Jasmine Kimbrough, of St. Louis County, also are charged with assault and armed criminal action in the death of Bell's brother, Noah Bell. They are jailed on $250,000 cash only bail.

Police say Kimbrough is the homeowner's estranged wife. She is accused of conspiring to rob and assault him with Bell, Rainey and the victim. But police say gunfire erupted Sunday in the backyard of a University City home when the owner confronted the suspects, who also were armed.

Police say the three suspects have confessed.
