New Lincoln University President Jerald Jones Woolfolk on Monday filled two positions and announced job modifications for three current LU employees.

The appointments and job changes are effective Sunday - the start of LU's new business year.

John Jones will be Lincoln's new provost and vice president for Academic Affairs (VPAA). He currently serves as the associate vice chancellor of Academic Affairs for Graduate Education at Keiser University, which is a private, not-for-profit university with campuses throughout Florida.

Jones earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina, and his master's and doctoral degrees in education administration from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.

Dr. Marcus Chanay will be LU's new vice president for Student Affairs. He is currently vice president for Student Services at Jarvis Christian College in Decatur, Georgia.

Chanay completed his undergraduate coursework in mass communications at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, then earned his master's degree in Educational Administration and Supervision and his doctorate in urban higher education from Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi.

Debra Greene was named associate provost for Enrollment Management and Strategic Academic Initiatives. She has been Lincoln's interim provost and VPAA since 2016, when Said Sewell left.

CFO Sandy Koetting becomes LU's vice president for Administration and Finance.

Carlos Graham will be Woolfolk's chief of staff and executive assistant to the president. Graham, who is also a Fourth Ward Jefferson City councilman, served as interim President Michael Middleton's interim chief of staff. He will retain his duties as campus and community liaison.
