JOPLIN - Missouri Southern senior Allie Heckemeyer took first place in the women's triple jump Saturday at the Missouri Southern Invitational.
Heckemeyer (St. Elizabeth High School) posted a winning jump of 38 feet, 8.25 inches, which is a provisional mark for the NCAA Division II indoor track and field championships.
She was also on the Lions' winning 4x400-meter relay team, which crossed the finish line in 4:10.88. Heckemeyer added a fifth-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.70 seconds.
Missouri Southern sophomore Gabirel Hill (School of the Osage High School) took fourth in the women's 3,000-meter run in a time of 11:19.78.
Drury freshman Brendan Bena (Jefferson City High School) placed fifth in the men's 800-meter run (2:10.89) and took sixth in the one-mile run (4:40.03).
