Lincoln, Lindenwood to meet again today in basketball doubleheader

The Lincoln Blue Tigers will look for their second win in four days against the Lindenwood Lions when the men's basketball teams meet tonight in MIAA action at Jason Gym.

The Blue Tigers (13-11 overall, 7-8 MIAA) defeated the Lions (14-10, 6-9) 67-64 on Saturday afternoon in St. Charles.

Amariontez Ivory tossed in 20 points in the victory for Lincoln, which picked up its fifth win in its last six games. John Burton added 12 points in the win as the Blue Tigers rallied from a six-point halftime deficit for the victory.

Lincoln enters the game in a four-way tie for sixth in the MIAA standings.

The 7:30 p.m. contest is the first of four straight home games to wrap up the regular season for the Blue Tigers.

The women's game between Lincoln (3-20 overall, 0-15 MIAA) and Lindenwood (13-11, 5-10) will open today's action at 5:30 p.m.

Lindenwood defeated Lincoln 83-73 on Saturday in St. Charles. The Blue Tigers led 31-28 at the half before the Lions used a 26-14 scoring edge in the third quarter to take the lead.

Faith Brintle was 3-for-3 on 3-pointers in the game for Lincoln on her way to 17 points. Bre Coleman added 11 for the Blue Tigers.

Kallie Bildner had a double-double for the Lions, totaling 19 points and 17 rebounds. Megan Foster (Jefferson City High School) had five points off the bench Saturday for Lindenwood.
