College Football: LePage leads Pittsburg State

PITTSBURG, Kan. - Pittsburg State senior quarterback Thomas LePage made his first start of the season Thursday, leading the Gorillas to a 31-28 win against Central Oklahoma in Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association play.

LePage (Jefferson City High School) completed 12-of-21 passes for 174 yards and one score. He found Brenner Clemons for a 60-yard touchdown strike in the third quarter to give Pittsburg State a 24-21 lead.

LePage also ran the ball seven times for 97 yards, including a 52-yard carry, which was the longest run of the game for either team.

Pittsburg State (1-1, 1-1 MIAA) plays Saturday at Northeastern State.
