Three notable Midwest female impersonators will bring the world of Disney to a local stage at Drag Me to Disney, 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Capitol City Cinema in downtown Jefferson City.

Janessa Highland, Brooklyn Burroughs and Kyra Banks will deliver songs and characters from some of the most beloved Disney films in this unique and entertaining drag show.

A meet-and-greet cocktail reception will kick off the evening festivities 5-6 p.m. next door at Capitol City Cork and Provisions. The show begins at 6 p.m. at the cinema, 126 E. High St.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

This event is a benefit fundraiser with a portion of proceeds going toward Capitol City Cinema, Jefferson City's only nonprofit movie theater. Capitol City Cinema is designed to educate, inspire, entertain and connect the community with innovative film programming and film-related events.

The cinema screens a film every weekend, with special showings during the week. In June, guests can catch weekend showings of "Chasing Trane: The John Coltrane Documentary," "A Quiet Passion" and "Band Aid," as well as a one-night showing of "Sister Act" on June 28.

The cinema hosts a variety of special events and fundraisers and is available to rent for private events. Concessions are available at the cinema, with additional provisions available at Capital City Cork.
