Resource Fair held for Moniteau County services available

A Moniteau County Resource Fair was held Thursday, April 28, at the California Nutrition Center.

The services available to residents of the county were shown at about 30 booths inside and another 10 or so outside on the closed off Versailles Avenue.

Also on the street was a bounce house for the younger set, several City of California volunteer firefighters, and their truck, and several booths offering popcorn and other snacks and food items. The Sonic hot dog mascot was also present for entertainment of the youth.

Agencies, services and service organizations present from 4 to 7 p.m. included the California Lions Club, Moniteau Christian Ministries Center, Salvation Army, Bristol Manor, Moniteau Care Center, Independent Living Resource Center, Boy Scouts, the SB-40 Board Council for Drug-Free youth, St. Mary's Health Center, Handyman Solutions, MU Extensions, Central Missouri Community Action, Food Bank and Moniteau County Health Center. One booth was by Merrell University, which had several students providing hair care.
