Prep Track: Tri-County Conference Championships

ELDON, Mo. - The Eldon track and field teams swept Thursday's Tri-County Conference meet.

The girls' team finished with 123.5 points, edging out Southern Boone by 2.5 points.

The boys' team ran away with the team title with 160 points. School of the Osage placed second at 132.5.

Southern Boone (112), Hallsville (75) and Blair Oaks (71.5) rounded out the top five.

Versailles was sixth at 64 and California took seventh at 48.

The School of the Osage girls took third (114) with Blair Oaks placing fourth (110).

California (96) and Versailles (55.5) ended up fifth and sixth, respectively.

Taylor Scott (2:31.79) and Emily Yeager (2:33.08) finished 1-2 in the 800-meter run for the Lady Falcons.

Those two teamed up with Rachel Isenberg and Kayla Jones to win the 4x800-meter relay in 10:26.79.

Baylie Bellin won the discus with a throw of 96-6.5.

Runner-up finishers for the Blair Oaks girls were Jessie Holstein (100-meter dash, 13.29), Cassie Twehus (shot put, 36-1), Sarah Ferrell (triple jump, 33-3.25) and Kallie Kerperin (javelin, 93-9).

Alexa Stegemann placed third in the 100-meter hurdles (16.55) while Jessie Holstein was third in the 200-meter dash (28.07).

The 4x100- and 4x200-meter relay teams ended up third.

Stegemann, Olivia Seig, Macey Stockman and Christina Kempker ran the 4x100 while Ferrell, Holstein, Seig and Stegemann were in the 4x200.

Jason Otto was the lone winner for the Blair Oaks boys. He won the 3200-meter run in 10:13 while Cole Brenneke placed third in 10:43.

The 4x200-meter relay team of Dalton Bridges, Jeremy Forck, Paul Karsten and Chance Cumpton took first in 1:36.27.

Otto, Brenneke, Bo Thomas and Adam McCauley won the 4x800-meter relay in 8:46.

Kaleb Cox (discus, 140-7) and Josh Hensen (javelin, 129-9) had runner-up finishes.

Bridges took third in the 200-meter dash (23.79).
