Although no grand prize winning tickets in the Powerball drawing was sold in Missouri, state lottery officials said there were still plenty of winners.

In all, more than 429,587 ticket holders won a combined $2.8 million Wednesday night, including 15 tickets that won $50,000 by matching four white-ball numbers and the Powerball.

More than $60.8 million in Powerball tickets were sold in Missouri during this jackpot run.

That means approximately $23.5 million from Powerball sales alone will go to public education programs in Missouri.

Annual Missouri Lottery proceeds make up approximately 4 percent of the state's funding for public education. Each year, the Lottery generates more than $270.7 million for education programs such as A+ scholarships.

Missouri businesses also earned more than $3 million from selling Powerball tickets during this run.

The 15 tickets that won $50,000 were sold at: QuikTrip in Bridgeton; Break Time, 2205 N. Stadium Drive, in Columbia; Phil-Mart in Salem; Union Star Station in Union Star; QuikTrip in O'Fallon; Kum & Go in St. Robert; Trex Mart in Dearborn; S & B Liquors in El Dorado Springs; U.S. Oil in King City; Price Chopper in Kansas City; St. Charles Quick Shop St. Charles; Break Time in Marshall; Kum & Go in Springfield; Shell in Belton; and The Filling Station in Southwest City

Players have exactly 180 days from the drawing - until July 11, in this case - to claim their prizes.
