COLUMBIA, Mo. - The 13th-ranked Columbia College men's basketball team completed its 2014-15 regular season Saturday with a 71-60 home defeat of Benedictine: Springfield.
Zach Rockers (Helias High School) scored 13 points, a point off Chantel Stanciel's team-high 14, and tied for a team-high with six rebounds.
The lead changed hands more than 10 times before the Cougars distanced themselves and went ahead by 15 on back-to-back 3-pointers from Jackson Dubinski and Rockers.
Columbia's seniors were honored before the game and Tanner Sutton was honored for reaching 1,000 career points.
The Cougars (25-5, 18-4 American Midwest Conference) host the AMC Tournament quarterfinals as the No. 2 seed at 7 p.m. Thursday, facing the winner of the No. 7 and No. 10 teams.
