2 JC men killed in Chicago

Autopsies were scheduled for Monday on two Jefferson City men who were killed Sunday in Chicago after they crashed into a building when someone opened fire on them.

Reports from the Chicago Tribune identified the two as Willie Hunter, 31, and John L. Hunter, 25.

Authorities said the two were sitting in an SUV in a neighborhood on the city's southside when someone walked up and opened fire.

They tried driving away and crashed into an organization that helps veterans.

Authorities were not sure if Willie Hunter died from being shot or from injuries he suffered in the crash. John Hunter was identified as the driver.

There was no indication as to why the shooting took place.

Neither man was listed in the Casenet system, Missouri's online court system database.
