Helias pulls away from Logan-Rogersville

ROGERSVILLE, Mo. - The Helias Crusaders owned the fourth quarter.

Helias and Logan-Rogersville were neck-and-neck through three quarters Friday night in the semifinals of the Logan-Rogersville Tournament as the Crusaders held a 31-30 advantage heading into the final period.

But Helias outscored the host school 20-7 in the final period on its way to a 51-37 victory.

"It was a big fourth quarter," Helias coach Josh Buffington said.

Isiah Sykes finished with 15 points for the Crusaders, while Hale Hentges added 13.

Helias (14-4, ranked No. 4 in Class 4) will play Ozark for the title at 6 p.m. today.

Helias posted a 74-48 win against Aurora in the JV portion of the tournament Friday.

Landon Harrison totaled 24 points in the victory. Alex Brandt added 12, while Dalton Weaver and Jake Burnett had 10 points each for Helias (8-4).
