VIENNA, Mo. - Linn defeated Vienna on Friday behind three hits from Lyndsi Vaughan.
Lauren Kaullen was the winning pitcher for Linn (3-0), allowing seven hits, three walks and striking out three. Two of her four runs were unearned.
Kirsten Steinbeck was 2-for-4 for Linn with a triple and an RBI. Morgan Senevey was 2-for-4 with three RBI, and Hayley Dorton was 2-for-4 with four runs scored.
Freshman Jordyn Steffen was the losing pitcher, giving up 11 hits and a walk to go with eight strikeouts. Steffen had two hits of her own at the plate and drove in one.
Linn won the JV contest 12-10.
Vienna (3-2) plays Monday at Salem.
