ST. LOUIS (AP) - A St. Louis man has been indicted by a federal grand jury in the drug-related deaths of three people.
The indictment accuses 29-year-old Anthony Jordan of conspiracy to distribute cocaine, and use of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking resulting in death. He was arrested Thursday. He does not have a listed attorney.
The U.S. Attorney's office in St. Louis says Jordan is accused of fatally shooting Robert and Clara Parker during a drug crime in December 2013. He is accused of shooting and killing Michail Gridiron in January 2014, also during a drug trafficking crime.
U.S. Attorney Richard Callahan says the indictment is part of a coordinated effort by his office and St. Louis police and prosecutors to combat the rising homicide rate in the city.
