Your Opinion: Major morality change in U.S.

Dear Editor:

I would like to submit additional information about two subjects to go along with my letters posted on Aug. 9 and 16. We are undergoing a major morality change in the USA that actually started sometime after WWII and has picked up speed as time has moved on.

We Christians are particularly aware even though most of us go along to get along. Hence, we find that some of our institutions see nothing wrong with what is going on behind closed doors at Planned Parenthood. A question that has puzzled me has been, "If it's "planned' parenthood, why do they kill so many unborn children?"

The changes we have seen in society are a moral revolution followed by a cultural revolution and then a rejection of us Christians and what we believe. After all, Jesus Christ did absolutely nothing wrong, committed absolutely no sin, yet the citizens of the day wanted him crucified.

Today we are seeing: What was once condemned is now being celebrated; what was once celebrated is now condemned and those that refuse to celebrate, are condemned.

Same-sex marriage fits the above scenario. SCOTUS has ruled that the Fourteenth Amendment to the constitution does not allow discrimination due to sexual orientation, concerning marriage.

Those that have refused, on religious grounds to partake in this "unholy ceremony" are condemned. Remember the cake bakers, the flower shop owners, pizza makers and the picture takers. They all declined to participate and all were vilified in the press and most other venues.

As a matter of fact, some were fined and told not to say anything to the media about this situation. What happened to their First Amendment right of "free speech"? We are seeing before our very eyes the "minimizing" and "marginalization" of we Christians, as never before.

The individuals cited above didn't lose their lives, but some have lost their livelihoods. What's next?

Justice Alito said during arguments in the case, "In the 1983 Bob Jones case, the court held that a college was not entitled to tax-exempt status if it opposed interracial marriage or interracial dating. So should the same apply to a university or college if it opposed same-sex marriage?"

I believe that we will soon know the answer, as churches will be losing their tax-exempt status, r
