Dear Editor:
Capitalism can't accommodate government mandates that deny reality. New EPA, or Obama, rules for power plants don't assume a continuous supply of electricity that we now enjoy.
Too many wind turbines and solar panels leave a steady electric supply at the mercy of the weather. Wildlife, including protected species, are at risk from turbine blades and solar panel focal points. Such are sacrificed on the altar of global warming without question.
Just because a devious and deceitful man is in a position of power does not mean global warming is real. Nonexistent global warming is supposedly the urgent impetus for the coal- or carbon-has-to-go mentality.
Assuming we all still want continuous electric power we will have to burn carbon containing fuels for many years to come. What we really need are more nuclear plants to reduce carbon emissions which actually don't need to be reduced. Just notice how global warming becomes climate change during a cold spell.
If a witness was on the stand answering with two different answers for the same question what would jurors conclude about the truthfulness of the witness. The truthfulness of liberal environmentalists is questionable because global warming morphs into climate change depending on the outdoor temperature and you the juror need to doubt the environmental lie that is global warming or climate change from CO2 emissions.
The sun is beginning a cooling cycle that will trigger another mini-ice age in a few years. A steady reliable source of electricity is needed for heating our homes and it comes from carbon-consuming power plants.
Obama is trying to destroy the U.S.A. and the latest EPA power plant rules are just another nail in the coffin of our once great country. Call your elected officials and tell them to fight the new EPA power plant rules.
