ST. LOUIS - The Fatima Lady Comets claimed a spot in the Class 2 volleyball Final Four with a pair of victories Saturday.
Fatima defeated host Trinity Catholic (25-17, 25-18) before besting Lutheran South (14-25, 26-24, 26-24) in the quarterfinals to advance to action Friday at the Show-Me Center in Cape Girardeau.
Fatima will take a 32-3-1 record into the Final Four. Other Final Four qualifiers are Bloomfield (23-11-2); Mountain View: Liberty (36-3) and St. Paul Lutheran (32-4-2).
The four will be involved in pool play Friday before the trophy matches Saturday.
It will be Fatima's third appearance in the last four years at the Final Four. The Lady Comets finished second in 2011 and won the title in 2012.
