A Fortuna man was killed in a one-vehicle accident at 3:40 p.m. Thursday on Route HH, west of Smith Creek Road, in Morgan County.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol report, a 2006 Honda motorcycle, driven eastbound by Edward J. Rennert, 81, failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the right side of the road and overturned, ejecting Rennert.
He was pronounced dead at University Hospital in Columbia.
Rennert was wearing a safety device.
