A final honor is a very good one for the Helias Lady Crusaders volleyball team.

Earlier this week, the Lady Crusaders were selected as the National Medium School Team of the Year by MaxPreps.

Helias finished 43-0-1 in winning the Class 3 state championship this season. The Lady Crusaders lost just four sets in their 44 matches this season on their way to posting the most single-season wins by any school in history in Missouri.

The Lady Crusaders were led by seniors Erica Haslag (3.4 kills per set, 103 blocks), Lindsey Griggs (3.1 digs and 2.6 kills) and and juniors Ashley Dudenhoeffer (10.5 assists per set) and Blake Berhorst (4.2 digs, 338 serve receptions and only 10 errors).
