ST. THOMAS, Virgin Islands (AP) - Tricia Liston scored 19 points and Elizabeth Williams added 17 to lead No. 2 Duke to a 73-40 win over Kansas on Saturday at the Paradise Jam.

Oderah Chidom added seven points and 14 rebounds for the Blue Devils (8-0).

Duke led 29-20 at the half before scoring 17 of the first 21 points in the second half to blow the game open. Alexis Jones had five points and three steals during the burst which was capped by Williams' layup with 14:27 left that made it 46-24.

Kansas (4-3) never got closer than 20 the rest of the way.

Keyla Morgan scored 11 points to lead the Jayhawks.

No. 8 MARYLAND 84, OHIO 60

GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico (AP) - Freshman Lexie Brown scored a season-high 16 points and Alyssa Thomas added 13 points and 10 rebounds to lead Maryland to a rout of Ohio in the San Juan Shootout.

Malina Howard added 13 points, while Brene Moseley had 12 points and nine assists for the Terrapins (7-1). She had 18 assists over the two games.

Maryland trailed 14-11 early on before taking over with a 26-5 run. The Terrapins led 44-25 at the half.

The Terrapins' next game is at home against Ohio State in the ACC/Big Ten challenge Wednesday night.

Lexie Baldwin and Kiyanna Black each scored 12 points to lead the Bobcats (3-3).

WASHINGTON STATE 76, No. 10 NEBRASKA 72

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Tia Presley scored 13 of her 17 points in the second half, and Washington State made a season-high 12 3-pointers in an upset of Nebraska.

The Cougars (4-4) made 9 of 17 3s in the first half while getting out to a 45-38 lead. It was 58-40 early in the second after Lia Galdeira and Sage Romberg combined for three more early in the second, and the Cougars' lead was 19 points with under 13 minutes.

The Huskers (6-1) made it a one-point game late but couldn't finish the comeback.

Galdeira added 14 points and Taylor Edmondson and Dawnyelle Awa had 13 apiece for the Cougars, who beat a ranked opponent for the first time since last December.

Jordan Hooper led the Huskers with 24 points. Emily Cady had 13 points, Hailie Sample added 11 and Rachel Theriot and Tear'a Laudermill 10 apiece.

No. 11 NORTH CAROLINA 87, ILLINOIS 51

CANCUN, Mexico (AP) - Stephanie Mavunga had a game-high 24 points and 12 rebounds as North Carolina defeated Illinois at the Cancun Challenge.

Mavunga has her fifth double-double as North Carolina (6-2) bounces back from its overtime loss to Arizona State Friday. The Tar Heels defeated Arkansas State Thursday.

Alisha Gray and Diamond DeShields also scored in double figures. Xylina McDaniel grabbed 10 rebounds and added seven points for the Tar Heels.

Illinois (5-3) scored 19 second-half points and made just two of 15 from the floor during the last ten minutes. Sarah Hartwell and Amber Moore each scored in double figures, and Jacqui Grant scored eight points and had 12 rebounds to lead the Illini.

The Illini lost to Arizona State Thursday and defeated Arkansas State Friday.

SYRACUSE 78, No. 12 TEXAS A&M 63

ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands (AP) - Briana Butler scored a career-high 29 points as Syracuse beat Texas A&M to win the Paradise Jam Reef Division title.

Syracuse (8-0) closed the first half on a 16-5 run, going into the break with a 38-27 advantage. Butler drilled two 3-pointers during the stretch.

Texas A&M (4-2) got the lead as close as 55-46 after a pair of Courtney Walker free throws. Butler answered for the Orange. She hit a 3-pointer, blocked a layup on the defensive end and hit another trey on the ensuing possession.

The Aggies wouldn't get the lead into single digits again. A&M struggled from 3-point range, going 1 for 11.

Butler finished 9 of 14 from the field, including 7 of 12 from long range. Brittney Sykes added 15 and Shakeya Leary 14.

Walker paced the Aggies with a career-high 26, and Achiri Ade added 14.

No. 13 PENN STATE 72, ILLINOIS STATE 60

FREEPORT, Bahamas (AP) - Maggie Lucas scored 25 points to earn MVP honors as Penn State won its second Junkanoo Jam title with a win over Illinois State.

Dara Taylor added 12 points, three assists and three steals for the Lady Lions (5-1), who won the tournament in 2003. Alex Harris and Talia East each had 11 rebounds in the win.

Alexis Foley scored 24 for the Redbirds (1-4) with Octavia Crump adding 13. Illinois State shot 31 percent.

Penn State took control early with an 11-2 run for an 11-5 lead. A quick six points made it 17-7. That pattern continued until the Nittany Lions took control for a 44-34 lead at halftime. Midway through the second half Illinois State got it down to 52-49 but the lead was quickly back up to 12 as Keke Sevillian hit a 3 and Lucas made six consecutive free throws.

No. 14 COLORADO 75, RICE 58

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Lexy Kresl scored 19 points to lead Colorado to a victory over Rice to win the Omni Hotel Classic championship.

Jen Reese had 13 points, and Brittany Wilson added 11 for Colorado (6-0).

Rice was led by Jessica Kuster with 30 points, more than half the total for the Owls (4-5).

Colorado dominated the boards, pulling down 42 rebounds to 26 for Rice. The Buffalos also outshot Rice, making 50.9 percent from the floor compared to Rice's 40 percent.

The Owls opened the scoring when Kuster hit a jumper, but Colorado quickly took the lead on a Reese layup, followed by a Rachel Hargin layup and then Kresl hit a 3-pointer for a 7-2 advantage. Colorado, leading 33-29 at the half, took command in the second period, outscoring the Owls, 42-29.

Rice defeated Samford 57-52 while Colorado blew past South Alabama 94-61 on Friday.

No. 15 LSU 64, MICHIGAN 62

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (AP) - Danielle Ballard scored the go-ahead basket as LSU beat Michigan in the championship of the Barclays Invitational in Brooklyn.

The game was tied at 62 when Ballard grabbed a rebound from her own miss and put it back for the game-winner with 20 seconds to play. She also scored a layup with 1:12 that gave the Lady Tigers (6-1) a 62-59 lead. Ballard finished with 10 points.

Raigyne Moncrief and Shanece McKinney led LSU with 13 points each. Moncrief was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player.

Siera Thompson tied the game on a 3-pointer for the Wolverines (5-3) with 45 seconds to go, but she missed a jumper with 6 seconds left that would have tied the game.

Val Driscoll had 11 rebounds and six blocks for Michigan. Thompson and Madison Ristovski each scored 13. Paige Rakers had 12 and Cyesha Goree had 10.

No. 20 CALIFORNIA 59, IDAHO 55

RENO, Nev. (AP) - Brittany Boyd scored 15 points as California defeated Idaho in the championship game of the John Ascuaga's Nugget Classic.

Boyd also had eight rebounds, eight assists and a steal for the Golden Bears (5-2). Reshanda Gray hit 5 of 10 from the field and 2 of 3 from the line for 12 points. Courtney Range chipped in with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

After trailing Idaho 22-18 in the first period, California opened up a 14-0 run, holding Idaho scoreless for the final 4:37 of the first period to lead 30-22 at the break. But the Vandals battled back in the second, coming within just two points at 43-41 with 7:30 remaining in play.

The lead changed hands seven times during the contest.

Stacey Barr led the Vandals (4-3) with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

The win is the fourth straight for the Golden Bears.

No. 23 IOWA STATE 68, AUBURN 57

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Hallie Christofferson and Seanna Johnson combined to score 35 points to lead Iowa State to a win over Auburn at the South Point Shootout.

Christofferson, scoring in double figures for the 64th time her career, led all scorers with 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting. Johnson added 17 points on 5 of 11 from the floor.

Jadda Buckley's 3-pointer extended the Cyclones' NCAA record streak of games with a 3-point basket to 587. Nicole Blaskowsky came off the bench to hit four 3-pointers to finish with 12 points.

Auburn (4-3) stayed close, trailing by one, 33-32 at halftime. Hasina Muhammad led the Tigers with 15 points, with Tyrese Tanner and Brandy Montgomery adding 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Iowa State (6-0) remained unbeaten by sweeping both games in Las Vegas. The Cyclones rolled over Eastern Washington, 88-60, Friday night.

No. 24 GONZAGA 81, COLGATE 31

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - Lindsay Sherbert score a career-high 22 points to help Gonzaga rout Colgate.

It is the fewest points allowed in GU history. At one point early in the second half, Sherbert had 17 points and the Bulldogs (4-1) had a 44-16 lead.

After Colgate (1-5) scored the first basket the Bulldogs scored the next 10 points. When Sherbert and Danelle Walters hit back-to-back 3s it was 18-6. An Ellie Tinkle basket and another Sherbert 3 - she had four in all - and it was 23-8. The margin was 32-13 at the half and Sherbert had 11.

Sunny Greinacher had 13 points, hitting 6 of 9 shots for the Bulldogs, who shot 52 percent. Haiden Plamer had 11 points, 10 rebounds and five steals. GU had a 45-32 rebounding advantage.

Colgate shot 21 percent.
