Road work for Mid-Missouri from May 13-18, 2013

Beginning at 6 p.m. Monday, Missouri American Water and its contractor Twehous Excavating will close McCarty Street at the intersection of Jefferson Street for installation of a new water main.

McCarty will reopen before 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The contractor will continue utility work on Jefferson Street between McCarty and High Streets, but two-way traffic will be maintained.

Street parking will be restricted as work progresses.

Cole County

• Route B over the Osage River bridge north of St. Thomas - Bridge rehabilitation work continues. One lane is open, and temporary traffic signals are moving traffic through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

• Missouri 17 over U.S. 54 - Bridge maintenance will take place Tuesday through Thursday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

• U.S. 54 between Route CC and Cement Avenue - Bridge maintenance in the westbound lanes will take place May 20-23. One westbound lane will be open through the work area.

• Route C over the Moreau River - Bridge maintenance will take place Monday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Boone County

• Stadium Boulevard at Interstate 70 in Columbia - Construction of a diverging diamond interchange continues. Motorists should be prepared for other periodic street and lane closures and delays. Construction is scheduled to be completed in winter of 2014.

• Route Z at I-70 - Bridge replacement, shoulder widening, roundabout construction and resurfacing continues. The overpass and all exit and entrance ramps from I-70 at Route Z are closed through the duration of the project. Route Z can be accessed by taking the north outer road, while Rangeline Road can be accessed by taking the south outer road. The entire project is scheduled for completion in August.

• I-70 over Hominy Creek west of exit 131 - Bridge and pavement replacement in the westbound lanes continues. Much of the work currently taking place will not affect traffic. The entire project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

• U.S. 63 between Westbrook Drive and the Callaway County line - Roadside rock bluff maintenance and rock removal is complete. Occasional lane closures for roadway maintenance are scheduled for this upcoming week.

Callaway County

• Route AD between County Road 424 and the end of state maintenance - Roadside maintenance will take place Monday and Tuesday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

• Route AD at County Road 424 - Culvert pipe repair will take place Wednesday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Camden County

• Missouri 5 bridge over the Lake of the Ozarks at Hurricane Deck - Bridge replacement continues. Much of the work currently taking place will not affect traffic. However, traffic could be stopped briefly to allow equipment to be moved. The entire project is scheduled for completion in spring 2014.

Cooper and Moniteau counties

• Missouri 87 between Route O and I-70 - Roadway resurfacing, widening of shoulders and installation of rumble strips is underway. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Maries County

• Missouri 42 over the Gasconade River, west of County Road 335 - Bridge maintenance will take place Tuesday through Thursday. One lane will be open through the work zone.

Miller County

• U.S. 54 bridge over the Osage River east of Wood River Road - Bridge rehabilitation in the westbound lanes continues. One lane will be open through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in late May.

• Missouri 42 between Missouri 17 and Missouri 134 - Shoulder widening work continues. Crews are currently working to build dirt embankments along the roadway, causing one lane to be closed. A pilot car will guide traffic through the work area. Asphalt paving of the roadway and shoulders is scheduled to begin this upcoming week. A width restriction of 10 feet will be in place between Route C and the city of Osage Beach beginning this upcoming week. The project is scheduled for completion in late June.

• Missouri 52 between Route E and Brushy Creek Road - Roadside maintenance will take place Monday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

• Route C between Route JJ and Keyes School Road - Roadside maintenance will take place Monday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Morgan County

• Missouri 52 between the north Missouri 5 junction and the south Missouri 5 junction - Roadside maintenance will take place Monday through May 23. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Osage County

• U.S. 50 between U.S. 63 and Route W - Construction of new lanes continues. Much of the work currently taking place will not affect traffic. The entire project is scheduled for completion in fall 2014.
