The Jefferson City Area YMCA is hosting an American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification course on Jan. 2, 3 and 5 at Knowles Y indoor pool. Deadline to register is Wednesday.
Upon completion of the course, participants will receive DPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED, First Aid and Lifeguard Certification.
Cost for the course is $235 for Y-members and $275 for non-members.
Participants must be at least 15 years of age and must pass a swim test. If the participant does not pass the swim test, they will receive half of the registration fee as a refund.
