Lincoln had waited long enough to win its first Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association game. So the Blue Tigers didn't mind waiting through nearly a four-hour weather delay to finally complete the feat.

In a contest that saw the first half played at Lincoln's Dwight T. Reed Stadium and the second half played four hours later at Jefferson City High School's Adkins Stadium, the Blue Tigers outlasted Nebraska-Kearney 34-27 on Saturday night for Homecoming.
