Your Opinion: Response to Boldt on terrorism

Dear Editor:

This letter is in response to Mr. Boldt's vile and disgusting letter dated May 4, 2012.

In his letter Mr. Boldt calls America the "greatest terrorist threat to humanity and world peace" while calling Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the evil mastermind of 9/11, a man of "courage and fortitude," "having the strength and the passionate conviction to resist the worst a morally bankrupt [America] can throw at [Al Qaeda]"

May I remind your readers that not only did Khalid Sheikh Mohammed indiscriminately murder over 3,000 Americans in his nefarious 9/11 terrorist plot, he is also responsible for six other terrorist plots, not to mention the beheading of Daniel Pearl.

To describe Khalid Sheikh Mohammed as a man of courage, fortitude, strength, and passionate conviction is truly beyond my comprehension! And then to call America the greatest terrorist threat to the world is equally disgusting and incomprehensible, in my opinion.

Some people are living in a world of their own fantasy. I understand that.

What I can't understand is why this paper publishes Mr. Boldt's extreme leftist opinions and often hateful invectives week after week as if he is the only person who writes letters to the editor!

Please, haven't we heard enough from Mr. Boldt?
