Police seeking missing Gladstone senior citizen

GLADSTONE, Mo. (AP) - Gladstone police are searching for a 71-year-old man who went missing after leaving his home to get a haircut.

Police issued a Silver Alert early Wednesday for Larry C. Sandridge, who hasn't been seen since Tuesday afternoon. Credit card records indicate he stopped to buy gas at 6 p.m. in Tina, which is about 100 miles northeast of Kansas City.

Sandridge is a diabetic with an insulin pump. He has a history of dementia and cardiac problems and takes several medications, which he does not have with him.

He's described as white, 6-foot-3, 235 pounds with gray hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a burgundy shirt and sweater and dark pants.

Police say Sandridge was driving a red 2011 Ford F-150 truck with Missouri license plates.
