Dear Editor:
With interest I note your lead story in the March 23 edition concerning proposed ideas for a $22.9 million recreational center. This coupled with the Chamber of Commerce mission to attract young professionals and families to Jefferson City certainly makes a lot more sense than a tunnel to Adrian's Island or a conference center.
This facility will benefit residents as well as creating another reason to consider Jefferson City as a place to locate a business.
I applaud the Parks and Recreation Commission for this insightful idea that will benefit much more of the population than the other two mentioned above.
