Rob Crouse pondered what show to use to celebrate the Capital City Players' fifth-year anniversary in their new home at Shikles Auditorium.

It just seemed appropriate to pull out the very first show they did in their humble abode, "The Full Monty."

With the state of today's world and, more specifically, the economy, Crouse said some of the themes have become more poignant since that performance five years ago.

"The Full Monty" tells the tale of six British steel workers who are out of work and struggling to find employment. In an attempt to make ends meet, the group decides that becoming male strippers is the best way to pay the bills.

Crouse said more and more people unfortunately can relate with the characters.

Audiences will have the opportunity to watch the cast take on the musical comedy today through Sunday and Jan. 27-30. Doors will open for the shows at 6 p.m. on Thursdays-Saturdays and at noon on Sundays.

Please note that the subject matter for the show is not appropriate for children of all ages.
