Lincoln snaps conference winless streak with victory over Truman

The Lincoln men's basketball team captured its first conference win of the season Wednesday night, beating the Truman State Bulldogs 77-63 at Jason Gym.

With the win, the Blue Tigers improved to 3-22 overall and 1-20 in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association. Truman dropped to 7-18 overall and 5-16 in the league.

The Blue Tigers fell behind 3-0 to start the game, but came roaring back with a 20-3 run keyed by eight points from Cedric Ridle Jr.

Lincoln took its biggest lead of the half when Terrell Williams drilled a 3-pointer off an assist from Pierre DeClue that made it 33-13 with 7:57 left before halftime.

The Blue Tigers eventually took a 43-27 lead into intermission.
