Christian festival offers faith, music

Narda Shirley and the Nation will perform at the ninth annual United As One Christian Festival. Several bands will perform Saturday at the Missouri Capitol for the event.

The Joe Lewis Band will round out an afternoon of faith-filled music Saturday at the ninth annual United As One Christian Festival at the Missouri Capitol in Jefferson City.

Information booths will be set up by local churches and Christian organizations, as well as food vendors.

On stage, musical entertainment will include: Latter House Ministries, 12:30 p.m.; 3000 Souls, 2 p.m.; Almost Taken, 3 p.m.; Todd Anthony Joos, 4 p.m.; Arthur Anthony Johnson, 5 p.m.; Kathleen Carnali, 6 p.m.; Narda Shirley and the Nation, 7 p.m.; and Joe Lewis Band, 8 p.m.

Between musical shows, local pastors will share inspiration. Those scheduled to speak include Ernie Jenkins with Life Church, Paul Meinson with the Capital Commission, Marcus Sage with Fountain of Life Church, Michael Koelling with Solid Rock Family Church and Mark Meiers with Concord Baptist Church.

BMX and motorcycle stunts will continue throughout the day from noon-6 p.m.

A car show will run from noon-3 p.m., and a bike show will be open from noon-2 p.m.
