Tigers name Egnew their MVP

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Michael Egnew, who leads the nation's tight ends with 83 receptions, has been named Missouri's most valuable player.

The junior was honored in balloting by players at the team awards banquet Sunday, a day after the Tigers beat Kansas 35-7 to finish the regular season at 10-2.

Egnew, a finalist for the John Mackey Tight End Award, has scored four touchdowns.

Egnew and sophomore T.J. Moe, who leads the team with 893 yards rushing and six touchdowns, were named co-receivers of the year.
