ST. LOUIS (AP) - St. Louis police have been investigating a shooting that left a teenager dead and eight other people injured.
Police said the shooting occurred late Saturday at a nightclub after some teenagers had been turned away from entering the club. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that some of the teens were standing in the parking lot when suspects in two cars started firing.
The fatality victim is identified as 17-year-old Ranisha Cole. She had been riding in one of the cars when she was hit.
Eight other teenagers, ages 14 to 18, were wounded in the gunfire. A 16-year-old boy was reported in critical condition. The seven other teens were treated and released.
