Shirley M. Stieferman, 79, of Mokane, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics. She was born on January 28, 1937, in Callaway County, the daughter of the late Elmer G. Hinnah and the late Blanche (Dickson) Hinnah. Shirley enjoyed playing cards and dominos and traveling with friends. Many years ago, she worked for South Callaway Meat Processing but her focus was always on being a wife, mother, and a homemaker. Those remaining to mourn her passing include son, Eddie Stieferman (Mary) of Mokane; daughters, Tina Fry (Johnny) of Mexico, and Lisa A. Hitt of Tulsa, Okla.; brother, Donnie Hinnah (Nancy) of Portland; six grandchildren, Emily Horstman (Chad), Ashley Smith (Derek), Amy Raps, Rachel Romero, Taylor Hume, and Stephanie Benson; great- grandchildren, Clark and Lillian Horstman, Madalyn and Bryson Smith, Phillip, Kylee and Trevor Raps, Olivia and Madalyn Benton, Vincent Romero, Davonte Eston, Faith Benson, and Emma Smith; and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by brother, Joseph "Jay" Hinnah; and son-in-law, Jay Hitt. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Brother David Coleman officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mokane Cemetery.
