Danny B. Lea, 66, of Camdenton, formerly of Jefferson City, died Monday, January 28, 2013, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. He was born July 30, 1946, in Fordland, Mo., the son of Ira "Pete" and Fern (Brentlinger) Lea. Dan was a 1964 graduate of Fordland High School. In 1968, he graduated from Southwest Missouri State with a Bachelor Degree in Business and as an ROTC Commissioned Officer. Dan was a veteran of the United States Army and Army Reserve, serving in the Vietnam War. Dan worked for Missouri Farm Bureau Insurance until retirement. He then went to work for the State of Missouri, Division of Finance, where he worked until retirement. In his retirement years, Dan enjoyed golfing and boating. On February 15, 1992, Dan was united in marriage to Mary "Ann" Hardcastle, who survives at their home. Other survivors include two children, Brent Lea and wife Becky, and Shelby Worsham and husband William, both of Rogersville, Mo.; two stepchildren, Camille Stewart and husband Steve of Richland, Wash., and Connie Cloepfil and husband Robb of Springfield, Mo.; and eight grandchildren: KeriAnn Butcher, Stefanie Noah and husband Luke, Peter Worsham, Dorie Lea, Konner Cloepfil, Luke Worsham, Phillip Cloepfil and Jack Worsham. Friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2013, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Private family interment will be held. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society, Wounded Warrior Project or a charity of the donor's choice.
