Ralph Howard Mueller, 71, of New Bloomfield, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2010. Ralph was born October 31, 1938, in Dubuque, Iowa to Conrad Alfred "Fritz" and Pearl Delma Buol Mueller. He married Barbara Sue Adkins on April 23, 1977, in Virginia Beach, Va. In 1958, Ralph joined the US Army and was discharged in 1962, as E-5 Sergeant 1st Class. He was a member of the Ozark Mountain Anglers, Elks Lodge in Jefferson City and the American Legion. Ralph was an avid fisherman and loved to travel the US fishing in tournaments both professionally and for fun. In 1992, he founded the Columbia Winnelson Company and was a mentor to many others whom have started their own businesses in the plumbing industry. Survivors include: his wife, Barbara of New Bloomfield; two sons, Michael Scott Mueller and wife Teri of Springfield and Mark Gerard Mueller of Hayward, Calif.; a brother, Earl Eldon Mueller and wife Susan of Chapin, S.C.; grandchildren, Jessica Mueller and Melanie Mueller; step-grandchildren, Ryan Sabel, Steven Sabel, Jackie and Jamie Sabel, Nate Bernal and Leila Bernal and one great-grandchild, Cadyn Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Marie and grandson, David Michael Mueller. An informal Memorial gathering will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 6, 2010, at Tonanzio's Cedar Creek Lodge in Guthrie, Mo. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
