Brian J. Silva

Brian J. Silva, age 63, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 12, 2019. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. Brian was born January 24, 1956, in San Rafael, Calif. to Joseph F. Silva and Jewel Pauline Baker. He grew up in California and eventually moved to Colorado, where he met his former wife Chris. They had an adventurous life traveling the western part of the continent until they finally settled in Fair Grove, Missouri in 1982, to become self proclaimed hobby farmers and raise a family. While living there, Brian grew a deep affection for the outdoors. He loved fishing, hunting, archery, shooting, camping, and hiking. Family was very important to him as well, and he found many opportunities to bring both of those passions together. Brian was known for his generous spirit, giving nature, unconditional affection for others and a smile that came from the heart. He was a spiritual man and knew how to make others feel loved. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. Brian was a loving brother to Bob Robbins Jr. and he is survived by his daughter Monica Silva McArthur; son, Joel F. Silva; his grandchildren, Henry and Benjamin, and many other cousins and relatives. In honor of Brian, a visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., with a funeral service held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at Solid Rock Church, 508 Hunters Run Rd., Jefferson City, MO 65109.
